Hey! I'm Rachel.
I am a self-employed artist using paint to explore the familiar. My current work is a reaction to Internet Overwhelm and fueled by a desire to savor the ordinary with renewed interest and curiosity.
My art is characterized by saturated color and heavy brushwork, drawing your eyes in to focus on the essence of the subject rather than the object itself. In my portfolio you will find paintings of everything from my favorite state parks to jars of pickles and Mickey waffles. Though there is a lot of diversity in subject matter, all of them are connected by the idea that everything is art if you choose to see it that way.

Rachel Christopoulos is a figurative acrylic artist living and painting in New Glarus, WI. Her art is inspired by Midwest living, Fauvism, and the blending of everyday imagery with modern color palettes.
